Slovenska Pristava is proud to present to you an evening of culinary creations from Slovenian Chef Miran Lovšin to be paired with some of the best varieties of Slovenian wines that can be enjoyed in the United States. Please join us on February 22, 2014 for this five-course dinner and wine-pairing extravaganza.
Chef Lovšin is the former owner and chef of Restaurant Pristan (Restavracija Pristan) located in Vir pri Domžalah, Slovenia. It is a restaurant known for its strong and delightful menu. The Chef has been gracious to donate all his efforts to the Pristava Pool fundraising project.
Your meal will consist of the following five courses: cheese course, soup, seafood course, salad, chicken and pork main course, and finishing with dessert. You will be surprised at how the Chef Miran can blend traditional Slovenian cuisine with a modern twist.
The Slovenian wines that will be paired with your meal hail from Štajersko, Vipava, and Slovenian Istria. These are wines that are currently not available for consumption in the Cleveland area.
Wine pairings are different from tastings in that you will enjoy a full glass of wine with each of your meal courses. There will be a few bottles of the presented wines for sale after the event has concluded.
We are limiting this event to 100 people. Please make your reservations early by calling Elizabeta Zalik at 1-440-537-1941. No reservations will be taken after February 19. Please consider inviting individuals who are not familiar with Slovenska Pristava but love fine food and wine to this event.
Slovenian Cuisine and Wine Pairing cost is $65.00 per person. The event will be held at the St. Mary’s - Collinwood Hall. Doors will open at 5:30 and dinner service begins at 6:00 PM.
All proceeds will fund the Slovenska Pristava Pool Project.
